About Running For Pizza
I started this blog while living in Italy. The pizza was ridiculously amazing, and I wanted to consume lots of it in my finite time overseas.
The flip side is that I’m a personal trainer, so I need to stay in shape. Just like I avoid hairdressers with bad hair, people don’t hire out-of-shape trainers.
Lots of pizza = lots of running; thus the blog name. Also, totally worth it.
Now, I live in Hawaii (life is really, really hard), but I managed to find a restaurant with a pizza oven that was actually flown here from Naples, Italy, and I had a baby, so… still running.
On this site you will find recipes, workouts, random advice on babies, relationships, fitness and nutrition, and even a little about my dog. My hope is that my own personal experiences and continuing education will benefit you, too.
Thanks for checking out Running for Pizza!

Woooooowww! Katie, I absolutely looooove your site! Amazing!
Love your site, Katie. I am stealing this line—The pursuit of perfection gets in the way of realizing that simply giving a damn makes you a pretty good parent.
Aloha!
Your blog about moms with amazing talent got my attention. Couldn’t agree with you more. I’ve been thinking about this a lot recently knowing that retirement is coming soon and I want to avoid the identity crisis that comes with it. Military spouses leave a lot behind. I’ve been in the Navy 22 years and am slowly embracing the spouse role. Happy to do so. 🙂
Cheers
